Weaken cleric poll

Weaken clerics:

Reduce overall HP by 10%
Reduce self heals by 10%
Reduce Prayer effectiveness by 10%
Reduce wounding damage by 10%

I voted yes.

By reduce Prayer effectiveness by 10% do you mean 40 - 10 = 30 or 40 * .9 = 36?

Also, I heard Sorien say one time that he can't change HP values as they are hard-coded into the class. If he can't, would you be willing to nerf Prayer proportionally more than 10% to make up for the inability to nerf base health?

Some Math:
288 * .9 = 259.2, rounded down a 10% HP reduction for Clerics would give them 259 HP.

These calculations are based on reduced base HP: 259
Effective HP = 404.68 / 392.42 / 370 (Damage Red = 36/33/30)
Effective H7 max roll heal (60) = 93.75, 90.90, 85.7

These calculations are based on current base HP: 288
Effective HP = 404.68 (needs Damage Reduction to be 29%), 392.42 (needs 26.5%), 370 (needs 22%)
Effective H7 max roll heal (60) at these values = 84.5 (29), 81.6 (26.5), 76.9 (22%)

In conclusion, if Sorien can't lower HP, would you settle for P5 being 30% damage reduction? It is essentially the same thing. That + a minor healing nerf would might take us a step closer to balance.

Is wounding nerf just for w1,2 and 3 or does it affect DK too? I like DK the way it is I don't think it needs a nerf.

I don't know all the math stuff, just that a cleric is overall 10% easier to kill and not as effective a killer. We can start there and increase/decrease after some trial period

Well it's embedded in the client and also uses a formula... so I would have to find out exactly how it works in the client before editing it ;p

Since you made level caps at 15 is it possible to make a level cap just for clerics? Like make clerics max level 25...that's a lot less hp/power/5 spell picks & 1 wall. See how it goes for clerics at 25...then u can give or take away a level from there. Also seems like the easiest thing to do programming wise.

Nah I wouldn't do that... if I really have to I'll do the HP thing.

I don't think you should nerf clerics. In the FFA games today I saw 0 clerics playing :(.

Can spells still be added into the game? would be cool to make a spell that reduces healing effectiveness by like 20-40-60%. Call it, I don't know...Sign Disease I, II, III or replace Unpower with it? Or for ments, Mind Spike (level 7)

If that doesnt work, reduce the values to the old formula? :) Just thoughts.

You guys are kidding, right? Weaken the cleric? In a duel, a 12th Arc can void a 30 and eventually win.
