FFA Problems/EXP Rate

The FFA is fun to an extent but anyone who had made a cleric isnt going getting to play. The exp rate in the FFA is why we only play those, but this is a team game. I think this needs to be taken pretty seriously or this is going to fizzle out quite quickly. Is there a way to award the bonus exp at the end of the game even if your team doesnt win? and maybe install the top 10 (maybe set it up from #1-#10) to promote this again? It almost makes sense to just have it setup as the default for 2teams and have the option to go back to 3 teams. Thoughts? Concerns? (no complaints)

Also I could use my tags back, you never on sorien!!!

I agree. I much prefer playing the team games, 2 team or 3 team, but to level up quickly, FFA is definitely the logical choice. Clerics appear to have basically been non-existent in the FFA run. We need clerics so I def agree we need to work on something.

P.S. Tom Brady is the GOAT.

Sorien, are you able to place a conditional on the self-heal spell type in FFA's to increase its exp modifier?

i'm pretty much done playing. nothing but FFA's and now that FFA exp has changed dramatically - everyone who abused this now has a 20 level advantage. sprinkle some salt on the wound with trying to fight level 20's with a level 1-5 and it's no fun. not to mention what deathrogue already stated about clerics...

if the "fizzle" has already happend to me - a somewhat big fan of the game - others will get this fizzle factor much more quickly.

So, basically, the FFA matches, which are there to encourage a distribution of game type variety, are being utilized for experience gain efficiency rather than to promote match type diversity? Also, due to the imbalance between experience gain between clerics and non-clerics in FFA, the problem is exacerbated, because low level players suffer more due to tapping prequently compared to the high level players who rarely tap, by kill experience, tapping penalties (if applicable), and more time spent in Valhalla?

Sound about right?

for example: level 15's were getting 120k+ bonus along with their gained exp.

with the new fix in place: my level 3 arc got 2 kills in the 15 min of a FFA and only received 1500 bonus - around 3800 total. def not worth it considering the constant flow of deaths. i forget, but around 20.

in any case - the core problem here is the 1-10 and 1-30 level ranges. a level 6 is forced to roll a level 1 if a 1-5 is going on...

yes about clerics. i dont think there is a tap penalty in FFA.

So, what would y'all say the average number of kills and deaths of the top players is in a FFA compared to the average number of kills and deaths of the top players in a regular match?

why does limits height matter? lol. i dont need your input if ur not playing, so i wont be giving you an estimate. any ffa doesnt represent this game in any sort of way, and thats my opinion. a good example is no level 30 clerics, they are not needed as it stands. i would like to play more but there is no reason to anymore, the best games were a couple 1-10s in cath revival. great cleric play, game ended with a win...it was funny to see how hardly anyone knew how to win a game, it takes strategic planning and teamwork. thats an element to the game that is a fun aspect in my mind. even if ur not the best skilled player if you know where to be and when to be, you contribute in a big way.
