Poll: Increase MS3 damage

Make Manastrike III do 50% more damage than Manastrike II. If the numbers on magestorm statistics are right, ms3 averages 16.5 damage while ms2 averages 13. A 50% damage increase will raise the average damage to 19.5 from 16.5, which will bring it more in line with SD3, which does 21 damage.

ms2 (level 3): 8-18
ms3 (level 6): 9-24

divide the min/max by the level to get the spells efficiency as power vs dmg.

ms2: 2.667 - 6
ms3: 1.5 - 4

to get the same efficiency as ms2 you'd have to beef ms3 to: 16-36

which incidentally is the same values of Shock Dart 3. this totally doesnt make sense considering Shock Dart 2 is 4-16 with the possibility of light resist.

anyways, there's the #'s. personally, i dont really wanna get into spell balance details. i'd rather reserve my opinion to core game mechanics.

Oh I don't mean to make it use less power. Using the numbers you provided, the new MS3 should be 50% higher than MS2 so I was thinking 12-27 (which averages to the 19.5 mentioned in the OP). It doesn't need to be as efficient as MS2, but it needs to do more damage.

keep in mind this isnt factoring in fatigue. the level of the spell is the power cost. most of the spells have strategic spell level requirements to maintain specific builds.

in most cases spells start at 100 fatigue and go to a minimum of 10 (bolts and heals have a min of 50 fatigue) -- a reduction of 10 per level above the spell.

manastrike 3 for example:

level 6 = 100 fatigue
7 = 90
8 = 80
9 = 70
10 = 60
11 = 50
12 = 40
13 = 30
14 = 20
15 = 10

which means that manastrike 2 is much better until you hit 12-13 or so... this is all a bit off topic though, plz ignore :)

Jesus christ aren't arcs op as it is? They got fucking shrapnel bombs which they did NOT fucking need. What are people gonna ask for next, manastorm bombs? Or make manastorm lv 25 like maelstrom? Or how about a new arc spell which combines manastorm+utter void & heals the arc for 50% of damage dealt why not?! Or FLY!! Yes arcs could really use Fly3. Oh throw in TR5 too please, ments are op. Oh & when arcs recharge our ley in a pool, it should last at least 10 mins or even the rest of the game.

RIP, MS3 is absolute shit. No one can dispute this. The change I am suggesting would change it from absolute shit, to moderately shitty. Also, Arcs aren't OP, especially during the levels where MS3 is used.

I had changed both once before, to cause a smoother progression between MS2 and MS3. Don't remember what I changed it to, though.

Ms3 blows, a lvl 11 arc used ms2 while im 14 and used ms3, he was kicking my ass . i switched to ms2 after that , he still kicked my ass but atleast I was puttin up a fight lol!

The problem isn't MS3 being too weak it's MS2 being too strong imo.
