ESO Fog in 1.5.5.6

Postby Kalthea » 10:46 pm, Sun Jun 11, 2017

For some reason, the update to 1.5.5.6 has re-enabled fog in ESO. I attempted to switch the settings between true and false with no difference.

Hm... I'm not having that issue. It works fine with 1.5.5.5? The fog part hasn't changed from .5 to .6 so I dunno what the issue could be.

Have you double checked your settings in Hook64?

It was working fine in 1.5.5.5, so I'm just as confused. I'll try rolling back to see if it still works.

You should get on Discord. We can troubleshoot it a lot faster.

Just wanted to say it's the same for me. The fog is back with 1.5.5.7.

Definitely set to false.

I am using reshade if you think that makes a difference.

edit: disabling and removing reshade files from the eso folder made no difference.

edit 2 : Just an update, it's not just the fog, no settings seem to be latching on. I turned off low quality models and set the draw distances to 10.0 which would normally result in a slide show, but nothing happens at all.

It's a bug that some people are affected by, I'm working on it right now.

As a workaround just press the Pause key on your keyboard when you're ingame to apply the settings.

Hey!

Just to let you know that I still have to hit "pause" while playing ESO to get the effects to take hold. Not a big deal, but since 1.5.5.8 was suppose to fix it I thought you might like to know.

Stopping in again to amend my previous post. The effects DO take place without hitting "pause". You just have to get past the character selection menu.

Thanks!
